Overwatch 2 Release Date Announced

The world needs heroes! But do we really need another Overwatch game? Apparently someone at Activision Blizzard thinks so because they announced a release date for Overwatch 2. The release date is October 4th, which of course coincides with National Vodka day. This most likely confirms that Zarya will not be removed despite the crisis in Ukraine.

Also, you better prepare your wallet because Overwatch 2 is going “Free” to play service model!

Since Microsoft is currently trudging through legal red tape in trying to acquire Activision Blizzard, the actual future of Overwatch 2 is still a complete mystery. If Microsoft takes the helm it is very likely that we will get to see Master Chief and Blinx the Timesweeper introduced as characters in Overwatch 2. This was stated by an anonymous source on condition of anonymity.

Overwatch 2 introduced a new game mode and they have promised to do away with the much maligned 2 Point CP. Stay tuned for our forthcoming update about 10 things that should be changed in Overwatch 2 and 10 things that should remain!

This is an accurate depiction of what a game of Overwatch 2 will look like. As you can see, Lucio is aiming at nothing and Blue Team’s tank is absent. This is because in Overwatch 2, tanks are still boring and the player left before this fight happened.
